At The Meditation Studio, our mission is to help individuals achieve inner peace and clarity through the practice of meditation and the study of Buddhist principals. Our meditations are designed to reduce stress and anxiety, improve focus, and promote overall well-being.
Our team of experienced meditation instructors are dedicated to helping you achieve your meditation goals. Each instructor has a unique background and teaching style, ensuring that you will find the perfect fit for your meditation journey.
We offer a variety of meditation programs, including guided meditations, workshops, and retreats. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced meditator, we have a program that will help you deepen your practice and achieve your goals.
The Meditation Studio is located inside The Church in Silver Lake. We have no affiliation with the church, they are an open and affirming church that welcomes our studio into their community. The entrance is through the main doors, and we are located on the 2nd floor. We ask that you take off your shoes prior to entering the studio. Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early to find your seat and/or grab a cup of tea prior to meditation.
We believe that meditation is a personal practice that should be tailored to your unique needs and preferences. That's why we offer a variety of way to sit, on a traditional cushion, bench or chair. Most of our meditations consist of a silent 20-minute sit, 10 min walk, & 20 min sit. This may differ by the teacher/participant needs.
If you are new to meditation or would like a refresher, we offer free meditation instructions every Sunday at 9:15am.
In this unique meditation class, you will engage in a soothing, hands-on experience that combines the art of fabric crafting with the practice of mindfulness. You will explore how creating a small fabric book can serve as a tool for meditation, reflection and self-awareness.
Learn to select and stitch fabric with an intentional, meditative approach as each step in the process becomes an opportunity to cultivate present-moment awareness and focus. As you work with your hands, you will experience how the repetitive motions can help quiet the mind, fostering a deeper connection to the present.
After the class you can use your book as a tool for meditation, a reminder to pause and center yourself. This class invites participants to not only create something beautiful but also to develop a profound sense of mindfulness and calm throughout the process.
Whether you're an experienced crafter/artist/meditator or a beginner, this workshop offers a peaceful, reflective space to explore the intersection of art, mindfulness, and meditation.
Please bring fabric scissors and any fabric or embellishments (i.e. ribbon, buttons, beads, etc) that you would like to incorporate into your book. All other supplies provided.
